Kurdish Doctor and International Team Discover Breakthrough Drug for Cervical Cancer
Duhok, Iraq – Dr. Hijmet Abdulxaliq Ali, a lecturer at the University of Duhok’s College of Medicine, has made a groundbreaking discovery in the fight against cervical cancer. Collaborating with nine researchers from the University of Szeged in Hungary, Dr. Ali and his team have developed a promising new drug that could revolutionize treatment for this deadly disease.
Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women worldwide, particularly in developing regions with limited access to preventive care. The newly discovered drug targets the disease more effectively than existing treatments, offering hope for improved survival rates and fewer side effects.
