Murat Karayilan Killed in Iraq
The outlawed armed organisation PKK’s co-leader Murat Karayilan was allegedly killed by unidentified gunmen in the Iraqi city of Basra, multiple sources including tv and newspapers known to be PKK affiliates say.
According to the allegations, Murat Karayilan was killed at the scene as result of heavy gun fire from three vehicles approached his vehicle at a location few kilometers away from the city center of Basra.
The alleged killing of Murat Karayilan has not been confirmed by Neither Iraqi nor Turkish officials.
The PKK organization itself has not made any statement to confirm or refute the allegations.
